GENDER EQUALITY INDEX 2024

LEMAIRE has championed gender equality and encouraged diversity within its teams since its founding. The company, led by Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, now brings together 120 employees selected for their talent and their shared passion for meticulously crafted clothing. Each collection is developed and rolled out with their contribution.

The workforce is composed of 70% women, a balance that is also reflected at management level (67%). The pay scale has been designed to reward commitment and performance regardless of gender.

LEMAIRE publishes below its 2024 Professional Gender Equality Index. This indicator, scored out of 100 points, measures the level of equality between women and men within the company based on several criteria, using 2023 as the reference year.

LEMAIRE overall score: 99/100

This score reflects LEMAIRE’s ongoing commitment to gender equality and demonstrates the efforts made by the company to ensure an inclusive and fair working environment for all. The national average Gender Equality Index score in France for the same year is 88/100.

Indicator 1 – Gender pay gap

LEMAIRE score: 39/40

The existing pay gap within the company is in favor of women. This recognition of the value of their work is the result of the company’s compensation policy. In France, according to INSEE and the Observatory of Inequalities, women earn on average 4.3% less than men for equivalent working time and roles.

Indicator 2 – Gap in individual pay rise rates (excluding promotions) between women and men

LEMAIRE ensures that individual pay rises are awarded fairly and independently of gender.
